Here is a list of astronomical events for given month. Location dependent events listed here are visible from central Europe.

JULY 2014:

02 – Comet C/2014 E2 (Jacques) crosses perihelion.

04 – Pluto reaches opposition at 3:00 UT.

02 – Comet C/2013 UQ4 ( Catalina )crosses perihelion

05 – Asteroid (1) Ceres passes 10’ from asteroid (4) Vesta in the constellation Virgo.

12 – Full Moon at 11:27 UT.

12 – Mercury reaches maximum elongation of 20.9° W of the Sun, shining at magnitude +0.4 in the dawn.

27 – Asteroid (105) Artemis occults a +11.6 magnitude star at 23:15 UT for 19.6 s and magnitude drops for 1.0, detailed info.

30 – The Southern δ-Aquariids (SDA) meteor shower with variable peak time somewhere around July 28–30, ZHR predictions about 15-20 per hour.

30 – The α-Capricornids (CAP) meteor shower with variable peak time somewhere around July 30–31, ZHR predictions about 5 per hour.
